ACK!!! I’m still havin’ the same problem I had almost a year ago…..I’m unable to log in to the directory. I thought the issue had been addressed by removing multiple accounts, because it worked for awhile. But now when I try to access the directory I’m taken to a page that tells me the directory is for members only. My membership is current until March 1. I have tried it using the login and password on my renewal application and I’ve gone back in my emails from when I had the problem a year ago and tried to login using various combinations of the login email and password that Carolyn told me to use. I’m at a loss………

I have corrected my website address five times since January 25th, to no avail. I have emailed the problem 5 times with no response. Maybe this time I will get some help!! This is my page, http://pcmd.ceramicartsdaily.org/index.php#pcmd_search_results As you can see, the .net at the end of the website address is .ne and there are 2 http. I had the same experience — was using two different email addresses, so was stuck in a repetitive loop. Carolyn figured out my problem and fixed it for me. Thanks Carolyn!!!

I wanted to thank Carolyn for taking care of my log-in issues! I did have multiple accounts and this was making it impossible for me to access the online directory. I emailed Carolyn with my information and she fixed the problem for me. Everything seems to be in order now!! I’m sure that the room for error is huge with such a large database, especially when there are people like me out here who unwittingly muck it up!! It’s refreshing that someone cared enough to fix it. Thanks Carolyn!

David and Loretta – You are receiving that error because the system is not recognizing you as a Potters Council member. All of the above issues, stem from emails not matching, not an active Potters Council member or multiple Ceramic Arts Daily accounts. Note: Your Ceramic Arts Daily email address MUST also be the same as your Potters Council email address. If you do not know this is the same, please contact me directly at cdorr@ceramics.org so I can help you. You’ll need to contact me, because I cannot email you directly with only your first name listed above. I look forward to hearing from you both.

There does appear to be a glitch. Clicking on any of the directory links (including the ones Carolyn lists in her comments) takes me to this page…/potters-council/access-error/ And even though the page shows I’m logged in, it requests that I sign in to access the directory so I do and eventually I end up back here! Frustratin’!!

I can not access the directory either. The link offered in above post did not work. The suggestion to click on the “Directory” link in the secondary navigation also does not work. I’ve tried all suggestions, but can not access the directory.

Again I tried to access the directory but again was told to sign in although I am signed in. Then I thought what the heck I will sign in again but when I did I got signed in Ceramics arts daily, in which I am not interest at the moment because what I want now is access to the directory. extremely frustrating this going round in circles never getting to where I want.

Glenn, we do offer an area that is for public use. That is the artist portfolios. Head to the galleries and browse artists. We show pictures of the artists work along with email, website and any additional information that the members would like to share. Thanks for your input! Carolyn

The directory would be much more useful if there were a “public” view where member’s websites, etc. could be shown to non-members (if they desired.) Also there is some value to each potter’s web site (from a Search Engine Optimization standpoint) of having a website link on your site. I would think this would make council membership much more attractive.
