Handle Making Video: Spicing Up Handles on Pottery by Combining Techniques

by Tony Clennell Read Comments (4)

Today’s video features our good friend Tony Clennell demonstrating a nifty little way to add interest to handles on pots. In this excerpt from his great full-length DVD, Get a Handle On It, Tony starts with a pulled handle, chops it up and then reassembles it, adding a nice angular touch that echoes the beaker form the handle is attached to. It is a great little video that started me thinking about other ways handles might be pulled, altered and assembled. Hope it sparks some good ideas for you too. - Jennifer Harnetty, editor.
