(also damp box, damp closet, damp room) A reasonably airtight cabinet or room in which damp ceramic forms can be stored temporarily to slowly dry, protected from harmful air currents.  High humidity is easy to maintain when the cabinet is full of damp wares, but sometimes damp sponges or bowls of water are placed in the damp cabinet for extra humidity. Source: Clay: A Studio Handbook
