Studio Description:
I make functional pottery from terracotta clay and fire in an electric kiln. My work synthesizes my love of the outdoors – particularly mountains, flora and clay dirt of my home – and my love of handmade objects and food. It is my intention to have Pincu Pots used as well as displayed, and for the pots to add pleasure to both the eyes and the hands.

I studied at the University of Florida under Linda Arbuckle and Nan Smith for undergraduate work. Afterwards, I briefly studied with Joe Molinaro at Eastern Kentucky University and at Penland School of Crafts and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. I did post-baccalaureate work at Cleveland Institute of Art with Judith Solomon and Bill Brouillard as well. After schooling, I worked as a studio assistant at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and as an artist in residence at the University of Miami in Florida.

Overall, I have been making pottery since 1995 and for the past two years I have been a ceramics instructor at Southwestern Community College.
