Joyce Michaud Gallery offers both functional and sculptural ceramic art produced by the artist. Hand-thrown (pinched and coiled) and wheel-thrown porcelain and stoneware wood-fired pottery are featured. “Each pot, each firing has its own voice, tells its own story.” Joyce Michaud shares her research, processes and discoveries through workshops internationally. An instructional book and video introducing the strength and versatility of the ancient traditions of East Asian Wedged Coil Technique will be available through the gallery Spring 2010.
