Studio Description: I have been a potter since 1972. For the past 21 years, my studio has been in the old stable behind my 150+ year old workers’ cottage home. I make “flame-painted” ™ saggar fired and smoked finely burnished clay vessels with terra sigillata; mixed media assemblage with clay; digital imagery from clay and other objects. My “spirit-keeper” ™ jars are often used as urns for ashes. Occasionally I teach workshops here or at my kiln on Cape Cod. I love mentor/mentee teaching relationships.
