Marysville is located in the eastern most part of the thumb, along the St. Clair River just south of Port Huron and north of Detroit (about an hour).
Studio Description:
I have a small basement studio…nothing fancy, but never the less, it’s my “happy place”.

Background info: I have enjoyed working with ceramics on and off for most of my adult life, but just started “throwing things” about five years ago. I have been hooked ever since. My pottery education has consisted of classes at the St. Clair Art Assoc. where I was blessed with two great teachers, attending seminars, reading everything “pottery” I can get my hands on and lots of practice. My artist philosophy is simple, “it is what it is”. My best pieces have come about by letting go and allowing the clay to determine what it wants to be. That philosophy also worked well with raising my 3 children.

Variety of work: My work is functional and decorative stoneware with distinguishing detail. My interest in water color painting is evident on some of my handpainted pieces. My signature pieces are my “faerie houses”. They have been described as “whimsical and magical”. They are one of a kind, named and numbered. I have been fortunate to sell my work at art fairs, on-line and at local gift shops.
