Studio Description: I’ve worked in clay since 1989. These days, most of my pottery fits in two groups. I love working/playing with light and shadow, and make candle holders as a means to exploit the interplay of clay, glass, and fire. Many of my vessels use sprigged decoration with animal figures (mostly dogs), and are often used as dog show trophies. Currently most of my work is cone 6 porcelain or stoneware, but when I find interesting native clays, I enjoy finding out what they can do.
