Studio Description: Detroit Clay Company is an urban small cottage industry producing Gift Tiles, Pottery and Mosaics My husband and I are both artist, probably considered painters, and exhibit our work professionally both here and abroad. My vision is to expand our creativity with the possibilities of low fire clay. Terracotta and a low fire white is the clay we use We design, sculpt, make the molds and press the tiles ourselves. My major was Ceramics at Wayne State University. I worked at Pewabic Pottery for 3 years, and in Arts Administration at the Center for Creative Studies for 6 years. I have chosen to bring my creativity back home to fulfill my desire to be a potter, and run my own business. The Detroit Clay Company
