Matt “B” Glaze Cone 6 Oxidation
Glaze Material
Percentage
Lithium Carbonate 2.7%
Strontium Carbonate 26.5
Nepheline Syenite 57.5
Kentucky Ball Clay (OM 4) 6.2
Flint 7.1
Total 100.0%
Add:
Bentonite 3.0

 

The matt quality of this glaze is easily affected by colorants, so variations have different surface qualities as well as colors.
For Dark Green Add: For Orange Add:
Copper Carbonate 3% Encapsulated Orange Stain 5%
Nickel Oxide 2% Zirconium Yellow Stain 5%

    which color is the recipe for? Is it the rusty color or the yellow?

    They give two color variations - Look below the glaze recipe. One for green and the other for orange.

    The matt quality of this glaze is easily affected by colorants, so variations have different surface qualities as well as colors.

    So far I’ve only been able to access 3 of the glazes. How I get all ten ?

    Go to the free gifts link at the top left of the screen; click on the title of the book (dark reddish brown), save or open when the dialog window opens. :-)

    go to account at the bottom of the page, sign in using your email and password then go to free gifts (at the bottom of the page too) and you will be able to download the file and all other files in the free gifts section.

    Is the pot glazed with one base glaze with two different colorant combinations or is it a combination of glazes other than the one listed?

    Thanks for this fab recipe I’m after a matt midnight blue (almost black) what do you suggest I add to this matt receipe.
