Emerging Artist 2013: Emily Duke – Kansas City, Missouri

Duke’s forms are all vaguely familiar, almost nameable as bits of architecture or other construction forms, but also oddly removed from reality in material and color in a playful manner. They are crisp, solid, and anchored but their physical tension suggests that they may move at any moment.
