  1. Wheel head question

    Posted 23 Nov 2012

I have a Speedball Artista wheel tha it bought a few months ago. It was set for left handed use, but I called the company and they told me how to open the unit and switch the wires for right handed use. Since then, the wheel head seems slightly off (tilting a bit) which is very pronounced when a plastic bat is on it. Plastic bars came with it. The wheel makes a whooshing sound. It has a warranty and I can send it for repair, but I wanted to see if there was a solution suggestion. When I go to pottery class, I can through a pot well, but at home, it doesn't go so well. My spouse thinks its the wheel. What do you think? Thanks!
  2. Once again: how do I reclaim clay?

    Posted 15 Oct 2012

Please give me some pointers...I've never done it. I do have a wedging board with and without canvas on one side. I've been told a wedging board helps.

    Thanks again!
  3. Do you know of any other glaze mixing companies?

    Posted 5 Oct 2012

Glaze Mixer seems to,have gone out of business.

    Thanks!
  4. Anyone have experience using a glaze mixing company?

    Posted 3 Oct 2012

Recently, I heard about Glaze Mixer (www.glazemixer.com) as a forum to share glaze recipes and to order glazes to be mixed. Last week, I ordered several colors and despite emails and calling the company, I haven't heard back from them. Te phone number doesn't say the company name in the announcement either. While my card hasn't been charged, I'm concerned that this site may not be legitimate or out of business. Any info or suggestions would help. Thanks!
