About Me
I started trying to teach myself the art of throwing three years ago by watching videos by Robin Hopper and reading everything I could on the art. I have taught myself how to do stained glass, wood carving, wood turning, basket making, and any other craft that was out there. Results were decent but not like the videos showed. After making many doggie bowls, I found a wonderful teacher in a neighboring town and am now on my way the throwing proper cylinders and learning techniques I would have never learned by myself. Mind you I am still not there yet but am getting closer by the week. All I need to throw is 100 pots that and then I will be closer to my goal. He is trying to teach us in 10 weeks of beginning pottery what should take two years to learn. After the 10 weeks, I will be enrolling into the intermediate class and then hopefully then into the advanced class. I do not want to sell pottery just enjoy the art form in my retirement. It is the most fun I have had in years and I want to learn everything I can about the art.
A man only needs two tools - duct tape and WD 40. If it moves and it shouldn't use duct tape-----if it doesn't move and it should use WD 40.
