About Me
Ugh... Hate writing about me, I would rather write about you! I suppose that right there tells you a lil something about me. I started my creative life as a teenager painting cartoons on T-Shirts. Later I played with painting silk fabrics with dyes, and sold a few items. I fell away from my art for a time to take care of my father, and now, after his passing, am free to play once again.
I started studying ceramics on a whim, and took to it immediately. The three dimensional nature of the art form spoke to me immediately. One of my pieces made it into a juried show last spring. I'm currently working on the wheel, hand building, and combining the two to create a line of dinnerware, barware, and decorator items. I dream of clay throwing its self at my command, and have nightmares of forms flopping around on the bat, out of center, like a freshly caught fish.
I'm engaged in a project to open a new studio, and am currently waiting for a proposal on some commercial space near my home. The plan is to open a cooperative production studio shared by a handful of potters in the area.
If you want to know more, just drop me a note. I'm known to answer any question, which has attached and scared away a few friends... :-)
