About Me

At present, I am a paper pusher for a manufacturing plant. Skip the pretentious titles, please.
In my spare time (falls on the floor laughing hysterically) I have a small garden seed business,
remnants of my previous life at home. The kids were young, I spent all day making our house
a home. Then reality encouraged me to obtain a full time job for health benefits. Sigh.

Hubby and I live in the country with a small zoo of animals. Our children have grown and left
the nest, but not that long ago, so I'm still practicing downsizing on the dinners.

Between my commute to work and home, eight hours of a job I admittedly find myself grinding
my teeth over, laundry and life's endless list of to-dos, I enjoy creating things. Whether from
glass, clay, fabric, mosaic, recycled materials, concrete, etc. I love to cook, garden, read and
so much more. Life is a giant bucket list.

Because we live in the country, my internet connection is, well, not exactly compatible with
the year 2012. Perhaps one day we'll know the power of high speed internet.

To abbreviate: I'm a freethinking, happy, happily married woman, proud mother of two handsome
young men, owned by multiple pets, live in the country and take life as it comes - one day at a time.
A middle child, only daughter, hippie at heart, an inner eccentric craving the time to create what
passes through this odd mind of mine.

I'd rather spend more time in the garden than in front of a mirror.

I can be a bit of a tree hugger, but not a radical.
There is no excuse for not recycling.

It is better to find glory in one's own merit. In fact it is more important to have self-respect than to gain respect from others,
and it is better to earn glory than to publicize it. - Madeleine de Scudéry (1607-1701)

“People of uncommon abilities generally fall into eccentricities when their sphere of life is not adequate to their abilities.”
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
