Thank you for your nice words.

What type of DIY kiln controller did you get? I see them on ebay all of the time, but am afraid to purchase.

My son came to visit and decided that he needed to sculpt for me a new kiln god, hence the birth of "Bardo - the screaming god of the royally _____." I also have a 'swig' with Bardo prior to lighting the kiln, in hopes that he will not get up to any mischief!

Gosh, that's exactly what the paint chip sample called it! Isn't it hideous?
My grandchildren are allowed to write and draw all over my studio walls so hopefully someday, as they grow taller, it will all be covered.

At my house, we call that color, "Pepto Pink."

Have we all put a pot on the wheel to trim it, turned on the wheel without making sure pedal was off and had the pot (always a good one) fly across the room, or just me?

    I got that t-shirt, too!

I throw small cup-like vessels, trim the bottoms so that they are rounded and carve them. I get chain from Lowes and use that to support the weight (just like a regular hanging lamp). The chain comes in all sizes, so the appropriate weight is easy to find. Use small lamp kits (also available at the home improvement stores).
