    Benzine,
    Madelaine lives on a farm in South Africa and she DID chase down the porcupines to get the quills.
    She has a big porcupine problem on her farm. She brought dozens of quills with her to the workshop.
    I really like using them for signing, drawing, etc. on the clay.

    Laguna's source for Frost is in Ohio at Byersville just off I-70. I picked up 1000 pounds there when I was driving back to Montana with my van.
    So I don't think there will be a problem about having a source...at least not for a while.

    I put the white ground onto the dark clay. Then started to draw with the quill scratching through the white. Then, I decided to add the blue shutters. I painted the blue slip onto a larger shape and scratched through to the dark clay.
    One of my workshop participants last year was from South African. She brought a bunch of quills and gave them to people. There are still a few at La Meridiana.

    I will have to find out if I have to be a member.
    The wind is blowing hard in Houston and I'm getting power spikes. The silly computer has rebooted 5 times the past 2 hours. lol

    I am re-retired from teaching full time at the University. I am happy to have my life back and looking forward to teaching workshops and working in m studio. I have lots of creative energy waiting to get back tp work.

    beginning to prepare for Fall semester at a new teaching job at a great facility on the beautiful campus of University of Texas -Brownsville. Only concern is dodging bullets from Matadoros, Mx and the drug cartels.Bullets have hit campus buildings..seriously.
