About Me

[font="Verdana"][list][*]I am self-taught in ceramics. Studied painting and printmaking and was awarded a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute, MFA from Mills College, awarded a full residential scholarship to Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. I taught for most of my career. I have an MA (Art Education) from University of Central England in Birmingham, West Midlands, and lived in UK for over 25 years in Stratford-upon-Avon. My late husband, Mike Steveni, and I owned a gallery/workshop in SOA, Dianthus Ceramics from 1993, but began DC in 1986 in small studio attached to house making commemorative traditional cream ware for the Royal Shakespeare Theater, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Awarded Honorable Mention at International Ceramics Festival Mino, Japan in 2011.

I am President of Cascade Clay Artists with about 70+ members. General Meeting at Skagit Valley College Clay Lab at 7pm. Check www.cascadeclayartists.com for updates.
