About Me

I'm a studio potter and mom of three in Northwest Ohio. I teach pottery at the Toledo Potters Guild, at Shared Lives Studio, and at Owens College. I manage a small hands on fine craft studio and have a column in Clay Times magazine. I'm a charter member and former board member of Potters Council, as well! I keep bees and back yard chickens and have a big veggie garden for canning. I mostly fire at ^6 oxidation, but have recently built a little catenary arch soda kiln. My MFA thesis work focused on historic pots for fermented and cultured foods, and I am kind of a "weird foods" nerd in my own kitchen as well. My website is at http://www.primalpotter.com
