Here is a tip for those who just want the bright white color of the more expensive porcelain, but are not overly concerned about translucency.
Use it as a slip.
Yes, make a yogurt thick slip of the expensive porcelain and brush it on the firmed surface of your less white clay..
Leave it alone for a bit since the moisture from the slip will soften the vessel.
I have done this with success on tiles and on outside surfaces of vessels. -

or google craft booth lighting you will find booth lighting specialists ... If you describe your work they are very good at recommending the exact lights you need. Don't scrimp on booth lighting ... It makes a huge difference in the appeal of your work at a show. -

Yes, resisting the urge to attack wobbles is definitely on the learning curve of throwing. Slow and steady ... note as well the same wheel speed throughout.
I liked the way she opened up the clay with the heel of her hand ... Gonna do that next time.
