thanks for those links. I discovered that Hsi-Mei, the teacher of Elizabeth Priddy, is teaching classes here in VA. I am looking into taking from her. When I started working in clay I would use underglaze to create the blue line work look It doesn't work to well. I am now experimenting with oxides.

I used a green, I think it was called celadon. I put a clear glaze on top. I wasn't impressed with the results. I used a lot of the wash and it seemed to fade. This was at cone 6 on white stone ware. I didn't think to use it with out a top glaze, may try that.

mregecko has much better looking results than I did.

That's the drawback reusing it along with new clay, they will never be exactly the same consistancy throughout unless you run it all thru a machine or do a heck of a lot of work!

Wow! I wish I could afford not to recycle. I'm still new at throwing and recycle about 50% of everything I make. I'd be happy to give the used clay away!

My favorite supplier is Axner. The only thing I can buy local is clay, on a good day. I also like Bailey and a couple of others.
