One was a plastic leaf mold, like a trinket size dish. Another one was made of wood (again like a candy size dish). Another one was some sort of plaster mold. I do OK except when it comes to getting an even edge and smooth edge at the top of the mold.. I've been using either a needle top or a knife at the top of the mold when I'm cutting off the clay to fit the mold(after patting down the clay and getting it to fit over the mold). Is their a trick to getting that last bit of clay trimmed off of the edge of the mold evenly? Do you get it smoothed down before or after you remove the mold? Thanks
