They ask other teachers and professionals in the discipline. the schools with the highest number of votes get higher on the list

I think the list includes some great places but I think the MFA candidate needs to choose a place where they will be able to pursue what they want and study with someone who will support and mentor them.
It takes some investigation to find the right fit.
