Joseph Delphia lives and works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he creates wood-fired functional pottery. He makes work for everyday use, and hopes that his pots become objects that spend more time in the hand than on a shelf. Joseph is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he studied arts education, ceramics, and sculpture. He is a member of the cooperative clay studio at the Union Project, and is a faculty member in the art department at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he teaches studio art courses, including ceramics and sculpture.
