Making a chiminea Rate Topic: -----

Hey all,

I am looking into making a ceramic chiminea and am not sure what clay I should use for this. Also, any ideas for what glaze, if any?

P.S. A chiminea is an outdoor fireplace.

I wouldn't use any glaze and I would make it out of micaceous clay.

There has been at least one other thread on this check it out via search it has info that may help.

I've often considered making a "big Green Egg" type of barbecue grill, but by passed it as I didn't know what type of clay to use.
