Dear CADF Paticipants,
Presenting a Simon Leach Workshop, hosted by Bruning Pottery and sponsored by Clay Art Center in Tacoma. My name is Brian Reed, and I am setting up a two day workshop with noted English potter Simon Leach. http://www.simonleachpottery.com It will be a hands on workshop with each participant immersed in two full days. At this point this is what we've got so far.
-A two day class covering 6-8 hours each day.
- Instruction will be directed by Simon Leach and will consist of demonstrations and work time for you on your provided wheel.
- Each student will be given exclusive access to a space and their own wheel.
- After demonstration time Simon Leach will be assisting all members.
- We hope everyone leaves with more techniques after learning from someone who has been a potter for his whole life.

We have the venue all set and all volunteers are in place for a great workshop.

The final dates are May 6-7 and May 8-9.

The two day classes are being held at Larry Bruning's Pottery in Snohomish, WA,

115 Avenue D Snohomish, WA

The announcement and the details of the class can be found here.

When I made the announcement for the class the response was huge and if everyone signs up who has said they are going to we will have a waiting list of 16 people. I suspect we will fill up quickly so I wanted to give everyone a chance to get sign up.

If you use PayPal, just sign up and send me a $75.00 deposit and I will hold your spot. If you want to pay with check or credit card directly there are instruction on the announcement site (link above).

The organizing committee and I are very excited about getting Simon up here as his first workshop in our area, but know it will not be his last. If you want to see what his classes are like you can go to youtube and search for Simon Leach and you can see some clips of Simons teaching style.

I currently have 18 people who have either paid their deposit or paid in full so the workshop is coming together well. If you want to get in on this, go to the sign up page and get in on one of the 10 slots left. I plan on making it a great event and incorporate Simon's new book into a book opening event on the evening of May 7th. We shall see if that can come together.
