Judith Skinner discovered a quick and easy way to blend colored polymer clays and Chris has adapted her techniques to our earthen clays. During this two day hands on workshop you will learn how to custom color your clay, how to blend secondary colors to create a rainbow of hues. The resulting clays can be used in throwing, hand building, slip work and surface decoration. All levels of potters will enjoy this workshop.

Skinner Blends are cool. This is going to be a great workshop.

For anyone who would like a shorter workshop to get the basics of coloring and blending clays, come grab a little early Spring weather in North Carolina!!

Only two spots left for this hands on workshop. Last one in North Carolina for at least a year.
Pennsylvania next, then Florida, then Canada ... Then who knows??

I've always wondered if Skinner blends would work in 'real' clay, it's nice to see someone has made up for my lack of effort to try it out.
I hope you have great attendance, Chris!

Now, if Chris can find a way to reduce a design by stretching clay the way it is done in polyclay.

If you find a way, please let me know! That is the one advantage they have over earthen clays.
