Hi, I'm visiting Mai Hong Son and Chaing Mai provinces in Thailand. I aim to stay here for a few months to practice pottery. I'm having trouble finding ceramic artists in the area and would appreciate any help if anyone has any contacts or suggestions. I'd like to rent some space in a studio where I can have access to materials, tools, glazes, kiln etc. Thanks. B)

Pardon my vague recollection but I think there is someone who runs ceramic tours in Thailand ... Try Google ... They might know someone who could help you.

In the isolation of a studio, an artist can begin to feel like an island, but in truth
we are all part of archipelagoes; chains of islands loosely connected by a stream
of information that enhances our Artwork.”

Do a web search and contact Louis Katz. He has spent a lot of time in Thailand and knows many potters there.

best,
