How does one safely dispose of glaze? Are there local restrictions? Thanks, Pam

I don't dispose of glaze. I make a bucket I label Mystery Glaze and dump test batches, unwanted or contaminted glazes into it that are the same cone. Usually I'll glaze some pieces from this.

This particular glaze is called "shale". It is butt ugly in the raw state and even uglier once fired. A total waste of good materials. If you have ever seen the movie Labrynth, this glaze belongs in the "bog of eternal stench!

I ususually get a green from my mystery glaze. I haven't tried this myself but try experimenting with wedging some of your spoils into your clay body and fire bricks made out of it.
