Hmmmmm.... Had a thought as I stomped an aluminum can for recycling.... I would think that the pottery is an "everlasting" product that encourages less waste/recycling/energy spent on recycling and therefore is pretty much a wash in carbon footprint overall.......

This is why figuring out what it really "Green" is not as easy as you might think. "Birth to death" energy and environmental impacts get very complicated.

Environment vs. ceramics should have its own category. The subject matter gets off track for ceramic education. Consider starting another category to educate potters on environmental impacts.....think about it.
