As I have seen in the past, CLG appears mat even where thick (^6 oxidation).

In the same firing, was a hummingbird bath fired in two sections. The base was fired upside down, as pictured and the glaze looks as expected. The bowl was fired on its foot but is inverted in the photo to show the underside which ran, is satin to glossy. I have no doubt that the glaze was thick-- I am having difficulty handling larger pieces-- but I would never have expected this bronze and turquoise-ish glossy effect.

I am wondering if this is one of those glazes that is quite effected by reduced airflow. This form is quite wide but very shallow. I'm not sure this would make a difference. I've only seen this happen to near-closed forms where a glaze on the inside of a pot looks very different from the outside.

the first jpg is very pixelated and difficult to see what the glaze was suppose to look like. the bowl is die finitely too thick. What is the recipe? maybe that would help us determine what happened. the bronze metalic is definitely unusual.
