If someone needs are large amount of sodium silicate / magic water
I wondered if Sugar Soap is a safe substitute to use instead of Terra Sigillata?
I checked out the ingredients in Selley's Sugar Soap powder and it has the exact ingredients
as the Magic Water terra sigillata recipe I discovered on the Ceramics Arts Daily forum.
Neutral salts 60% -
Sodium carbonate -30%
Sodium metasilicate,
pentahydrate -10%
Other ingredients determined
not to be hazardous
thanks!
