This ^6 glaze is used by Northlake community college in Irving Texas. It is stable in both oxidation and reduction and can be used as a white background for high fire majorlica.

A white glaze is just an opaque clear glaze. Most glazes (other than slip glazes that contain red clays like Albany, Alberta or Redart) will be clear, opaque or milky without the colorants. If you have a glaze you like and are used to using, just mix it without the colorants (metallic oxides- iron, cobalt, etc.). If it's a transparent glaze, add 8-12% zircopax or superpax, or 5-6% tin oxide to the base to opacify it. If it's milky, use less. If it's already opaque, you won't have to add anything.
