At the NCECA 40th anniversary party for Studio Potter Magazine, the editor, Mary Barringer passed the torch to the next generation. I don'tthink functional porters are going by the wayside.
there are many rising "sta rs" out there. jake Allee, Allegheny Meadows, Lorna Meadron (I love her work and hope I didn't wreck her name) many any more. The Santa Fe Clay dinnerware show is a great place to see these people 'work at NCECA or in the Airstream trailer that Allegheny Zmeadows brings to town.
