Collaboration: The Ceramic Art of Tom Coleman and Frank Boyden

Tom Coleman and Frank Boyden became friends in the early 1970’s. In 1983 they began working together to pursue the complex, labor-intensive process of wood-firing ceramic vessels. By 1986 these artists, through mutual respect and admiration, saw the possibility of combining their talents and began collaborating to create single ceramic artworks, with Tom throwing and Frank designing and drawing on the surfaces.
